"Sage, Volume 2"

Wow, this one was great as well. Again, I loved the images and the plot. The characters are very well written. There still isn't much known about the child, Hazel, yet. I'm hoping more about that comes in Volume 3 because I want to know what is up with her eyes. "The Will" freelancer is an interesting character as well. He is a bounty hunter more or less but he struggles with knowing what is right to do at times. He's a very interesting character and I'm curious to see what he does when he finds the couple and the baby. I feel like my review for this book is shorter, but  I don't want to give anything away. There are still a few revealing pictures in this volume but not as many as in the first one.

I can't wait to finish Volume three but I will be busy this weekend so I probably won't get to it until Monday or Tuesday and I probably won't be posting on here most of the weekend either.

My final thoughts on Saga Volume 1

Saga Volume 1 was great. I art is absolutely beautiful and the writing is perfect as well. However, there is a fair amount of nudity and some sexual images that some readers may not want, so if that bothers you as a reader you may not want to start this series.
This series is about a couple who are on different sides of a war and fall in love, get married, and have a child. Now several people are after them and their child because they want to use their child as a weapon even though we do not know what is special about the child yet. I'm sure that will be coming soon in the second volume but I could be wrong. The artist has created fascinating creatures and all of them are very different which I greatly enjoy. I would recommend this graphic novel to anyone.

Started "Saga: Volume 1"

Today  I got about half way through the graphic novel "Saga" by Brian K. Vaughan. So far it is very interesting and the art is beautiful. I absolutely love it. I will probably be able to finish it tomorrow. Graphic novels are somewhat quick reads. Expect a full review tomorrow :)

"Dust," My final thoughts

I have finished the Wool series, and I absolutely loved it. All three books were well written and interesting. I feel the beginning of Dust was a little slower than the other two books. They other two had action right away and had me interested the entire time. I feel this one took a little longer to get going. The last half of the book was the most interesting. I kind of wish there was more with Solo and the kids, especially the kids and how they deal with all the changes. But over all I enjoyed the last book of the series. I feel that the series was almost more about Donald and how he discovers the plan he was convinced into and tries to make it right for all the other silos. Donald was my favorite character even though he doesn't show up until the second novel. I think he was my favorite because he was the more relate-able to me and was the connection between our world and the silos and trying to bring the silos back to the world they destroyed.

The series as a whole is absolutely amazing. It is a story of hope and striving for a better life and truth no matter who stands against you. Even though these novels are placed in the future we can definitely use this message today. I feel this series has great potential as a movie as well. I hope one day it can be made.

Almost finished!

Almost finished with "Dust". I've got about 60 pages left. I will for sure have it done tomorrow. I can't wait to finish the trilogy. Donald's character is really getting interesting. I honestly think the books are more about him than Juliette sometimes. But I'll get more into that in my overall review tomorrow :)

"Dust"

Hello everyone. I didn't read anything yesterday, that is why  I didn't post anything. Today I have reached part 4 of the novel and have about 100 pages to go. I'm hoping to have it done by the end of the weekend, since I will be out of town most of tomorrow and probably won't be reading tomorrow. Things with Elise have really gotten interesting and I'm curious to see what is going to happen to Charlotte. I'm so close! :)

Continuing "Dust"

Today I reached the 300 page mark in Dust. Things are really starting to get interesting with Juliet and Charlotte (Donald's sister). Can't wait to see what comes next!

Dust by Hugh Howey

I just got to about the half way mark in Dust. I finished part 2 and started part 3. So far I am greatly enjoying the final book of this trilogy. It did have a little bit of a slow start but now things are really getting interesting with the Silos and I can't wait to see how Hugh Howey ends the book. I don't want to give away to much at this point because the ending may affect how I review the book. More to come.
