Read 2 Chapters

Read 2 chapters of Chase the Dark today. These two chapters were fairly long so that is why I only read 2 of them. But they were really good. Piper was set up into a fighting ring with daemons in order to get information from Ash's informant. But her last fight was to be against Ash. I really liked these chapters because there was a lot of action and we get to see Piper in action like we did in the beginning of the book. She doesn't really see how good she is with physical combat, even though she doesn't have magic. She can put up one hell of a fight with out it. I can only imagine how powerful she would be with magic. But I have a small feeling that she will be able to use magic at some point, if not this book I can see it coming in the next book. That's just my thought.

But these two chapters I read were also an insight into Ash slightly as well. He really cares about Piper, but it's difficult to figure out why, which is Piper's problem as well. I'm curious to see where this began and where it will go. But the fight scene with the two of them was a pretty big deal for Ash I think. I can't wait to find out more about this guy. But I definitely foresee Piper and Ash getting together. But these chapters were big, and I liked them. I stopped where they lost the ring that her father left her and is the whole reason they are fugitives in the first place. Now they have to try and get it back and continue to clear their name.
